How long will it take to complete my tax return?
Once we have received all of your documents for the applicable tax year, on average your return will be sent back to you for review in 3-4 weeks. If we are missing any documents someone from our office will contact you as soon as possible.
How can I provide my tax documents or other sensitive information?
We prefer all documents be uploaded to our online portal, SmartVault. If you don’t have access to your account, please contact our office and we can help.
Although we are streamlining our documents online, we still love to connect with our clients face to face, so don’t hesitate to reach out via phone to schedule an in-person, Zoom, or telephone consultation!
I don't have a scanner at home or work, is there a way I can send you my documents still?
Scans are the best way to send us documents as pictures can be blurry and hard to download. To help out, we have created a template CLICK HERE that walks you through how to use your iPhone to turn your documents into scans.
It really is that simple!
How do I speak with my CPA regarding tax prep, questions, etc.?
How long do I need to keep my tax records before shredding them?
As long as you have uploaded your documents to our online portal, SmartVault, you will never have to worry about record keeping as it securely stores your documents. If you choose to hold onto your paper copies, the IRS requires you keep 3 years from the date you filed your original return.
